Recent Shoots with Sea Monster Pieces

These are from another photoshoot styled by Frances Urrutia. I'll get back to you on who the photographer is.

This contains the Peacock shirt from my Legendary Birds collection, and a Scylla dress from Desert Sin's Scylla dance piece.
White Ice Princess shirt worn by the model on the right (you can see the drapey sleeve), and I think I see Sea Monster fingers and the White Rabbit hotpants on her head.

Green Quetzacoatl dress from Legendary Bird's collection
Sea Monster fins from Last Stand of the Elements collection, and the seated model is wearing a previously unphotographed Octopus Headdress.

Recent Shoots with the Infamous Red Dress

I have lately befriended a really great stylist named Frances Urrutia who is responsible for some amazing shoots. Here's a few featuring the red riding hood dress from a couple years ago, that some consider to be my best work.

I have many many more images of it. I'm considering compiling a book from them at some point.

These two are from a fashion show I did at Galapagos Artspace last year. I forgot what the event was, due to the fact that I wasn't actually there, and had to send an assistant.. Anyway, not sure who took these pictures, but the lovely model is named Ivana Karapandzic.
The following are all by Ella Manor Studios.

Evidence of Bird Cages!

Here are some nifty pics of my friend Psyche Corporation wearing my Birdcage Paniers. I sold them later that day at Wicked Faire, which was more fun than I ever could have anticipated!

Sunday, February 20, 2011

This is part two, part one is below. There is a bit of space in between models, due to the nature of the space, but the video is from the point of view of the photographer's section. I really think the models were all just exquisite, and I feel lucky to know and work with them.

The talented dancer you see before you in the beginning middle and end is Djahari Clark transforming into a lovely monster.

First Pictures from Monstrous!

The show was a success! Not only was it the first time I had a show at NY fashion week, but it was also the first time I produced an event! It went as smoothly as possible, and i think I'm going to have to find a bigger space for next season, which is a good sign!

I'll be posting anything I can find by photographers and press as I see it, so stay tuned!

These are some of the first pictures from talented photographer and all around awesome person Janet Zap. She tells me she has more from a different camera, so these are just a mysterious teaser!

Spin!!

I'm super proud of this, even though its only one photo of costumes. I loooove Spin Magazine, and am so psyched that My stuff's on their site! Also, the photography is pretty stellar, if I do say so myself.

Left Outlet on the News!

Hey all!

As some of you know, I have befriended and am now costuming a rather nifty band from NC called Left Outlet. They will be performing at my fashion show on Feb 16th, and half of them will be modeling in the show! They mention this in the video below, and it makes me squiggle with glee!

Here's some footage of them from their local news! (they don't have their new costumes yet!)

It sounds a bit different to me than they usually sound, but maybe it is because they are playing in an empty room. But check them out! And definitely come see them in person! They rock like it's nobody's business!

Pics From the Panic! at the Disco Show

Here are some photos from last night, in which I dressed 10 models to permeate the audience before and during a concert by Panic! at the Disco.

It was probably one of the least stressful and most fun nights of dressing models ever, and I hope similar things find me in the future! Plus being paid to see a band that is a guilty pleasure of mine was pretty flippin sweet.

More on the event was also posted on Metromix, where these photos are from!

A bit more than half of us, near the end of the show.
From left to right, Marc Robinson, Haleigh Ciel, Kristine Shook, Ellen Alberts, Melanie McShane, and yours truly.

What the show was actually about. Is it bad that the thing I was lusting for on stage was that awesome bass guitar?

Panic!

Later tonight I am having 10 models in my costumes interacting with the audience at a Panic! at the Disco concert at Bowery Ballroom!

Wish me luck! Hopefully I'll be able to get some pictures from this performance!
